Our holiday homes are located in four distinctive areas each with their own character.
Steeped in 1000 years of history, Priory Park has been home to a medieval settlement, Augustinian monks, subjected to the whims of Cromwell, rescued by Wolseley and in the 18th century, a hub of Smugglers’ intrigue.
Part of a “gentleman’s” private estate, it was also home to the second largest dairy herd in the area, producing milk under the name of Alnesbourne Dairies. In the present day, the family owned and run Priory Park estate extends to 100 acres of landscaped grounds sloping gently southwards to the edge of the river Orwell.
Surrounded by rural countryside, Heritage coastline and the river Orwell, sheltered by mature pines and oaks, the estate benefits from magnificent estuary views, ponds, fountains and nature trails stretching to the water’s edge.
