Hello campers! Are you a keen mountain walker? Lover of nature? Admirer of truly stunning scenery? A tourist who enjoys visiting local attractions with the family? Then this is your site!
Dol Einion camp site, Tal-y-llyn, is situated in the southern part of the Snowdonia National Park.
It’s a flat 3 acre green field with a stream, some hard-standing, electric hookups, and is easily entered from the B4405 near the junction with the A487.
Notably, the site has direct access to the famous “Minffordd Path” up Cader Idris, the glorious mountain that rises from the site.
Showers, toilets, a nearby pub, no light pollution! and a real bonus is the adjacent Heritage Centre with a summer Welsh cultural programme.

A spectacularly-located campsite under the massif of Cadair Idris and situated almost next to the car park for climbing to the top of it.
The campsite is also close to the pretty Tal-y-Llyn lake. Access is directly off the B4405 road by the owner’s house. The three-acre campsite is level and has 4 hard standing pitches with electric hook-ups in the Camping & Caravanning Club CS area.
The camping area is grass surrounded by trees & there are 2 unisex showers and toilets. The campsite is an ideal base for walking, you could spend weeks enjoying walks directly from the campsite
Are you an aviation enthusiast? The valley is renowned for low flying military jets, known as the “Mach loop” and used as a flyover by jets from RAF Lakenheath. Our campsite offers a perfect viewpoint.
