Camping and Caravanning in Helston

Franchis Holiday Park is a quiet, family owned park with just 40 touring pitches and 12 privately owned caravans and chalets situated just 5 miles onto the Lizard Peninsula.

It’s just a short drive into the village of  Mullion  with  its pubs, shops, golf club, harbour and nearby sandy beaches of Poldhu and Polurrian Coves.

We’re perfectly placed for exploring the wonderful scenery of West Cornwall, messing about on boats on the Helford, walking the coast path or shopping and lunch in St Ives or Falmouth.

Out and About

Poldhu Cove, our nearest beach is just a few  minutes drive away & owned by the National Trust.

Beautifully sandy & ideal for swimming.

Lifeguards from Whitsun through to September.

Dogs only allowed from 1st October until Easter.

Great cafe open all year, loos & council run car park.

We can highly recommend Dan Joel’s surf school – he even got our (very nervous) daughter & Phil (slightly less nervous) addicted!

How to Find us

We’re quite easy to find; from Helston just follow signs for Lizard (A3083).

Stay on this road for about 5 miles.

Franchis is on the left as you come up a short hill, just after a very wiggly bit, about 3/4 of a mile after The Wheel Inn.
